This is one of Drew’s many new expressions that pop out all the time. (a little translation for those of you who don’t speak toddler- “twazy” is his current pronunciation of the word “crazy”) He loves to declare that everything is “twazy“- from the rainy weather this morning to the long line at Wal-Mart. Its pretty funny.
Another of his new sayings made its debut two weeks ago when we were sitting at the lunch table with a handful of volunteers who had been working on our basement. We were discussing family size, when one volunteer commented that he had eight kids. “That’s what I’m talking about!” Drew enthusiastically declared. Guess he’s a fan of big families…who knew?
Isaac at three weeks old
In other news, Isaac is doing well. He’s starting to smile, coo, and kick during his waketime so that is fun. We’ve been blessed to have some family come visit to meet the little guy. This past weekend, my sister, Sarah, and her husband, Matt, came out from Chicago.
Aunt Sarah and Isaac
Over the weekend, we went out with the whole family to eat at Macaroni Grill. At one point, our waiter had brought some drink refills and he and Drew were just looking at each other. You could tell Drew was kind of sizing him up. Then Drew turned to me and asked very seriously, “Mom, is THAT my dad?” The waiter of course got a shocked look on his face and hurried off. Drew quickly smiled, pointed to Garrett, and said, “There’s my dad!” There is just this ornery twinkle in his eyes these days. I’m never quite sure what will pop out next!
The heat is unbearable here so we are hiding out inside these days. Looking forward to fall and walks to the playground… =)
